Manchester City and Real Madrid are sweating over the fitness of their main strikers Sergio Aguero and Karim Banzema.
Aguero and Benzema
The 27 year old Aguero pulled up with an hamstring injury just twenty minutes while playing for Argentina in the 2-0 World Cup qualifying defeat by Ecuador.
A statement by Man City reads in part: “The striker pulled up holding his left hamstring while chasing a long ball downfield.”
Aguero could miss Argentina’s next match against Paraguay next week.

Meanwhile has been ruled out of France’s friendly against Denmark with a hamstring injury of his own. He scored two goals as Les Bleus defeated Armenia 4 – 0.
France boss Didier Deschamps has said he hopes the injury is not as serious as it looks. Meanwhile Real Madrid boss will hope the striker can be fit in time for the match against Levante.
Marca however claims he could miss up to three weeks off action.
Benzema and Aguero are just two of fifty nine players nominated for the 2015 Ballon D’or award. Real Madrid and Barcelona have seven players apiece on the list but one glaring omission is Juventus goalie Gianluigi Buffon who led Juve to Serie A and Coppa Italia glory and the champions league final.
