Photos From Today's 2014 Batch C POP Celebration

For every Nigerian youth, the compulsory service year is a mixture of both amazing and sour moments.

It can be termed amazing because of the experiences involved in the one year. Some of the Nigerians youths get exposed to freedom far away from family members and everyone who knows them, thus, the chances of them doing whatever soothes them. It can also be a remarkably sour moment for the youths for so many reasons. Inability to adjust to new environment, culture and foods, making mistakes which can cost the corps member his/her future and so many more.
With all these ups and downs, every youth corps member is always grateful that the end of the 365 days journey has finally come to an end after everything. On this day, Thursday, October 15, the National Youth Service Corps members, 2014 set batch C have passed out and the social media has been flooded with various photos and words that showcase excitement of hopes of things to come. National Assembly broke, borrows to pay workers

Cash-strapped National Assembly has resorted to bank facilities to pay its staff their monthly salaries and allowances.But the facilities do not include the controversial running cost paid to lawmakers, as well as the salaries and allowances for their aides. About N4.5 billion is spent on the running cost of lawmakers in the two houses of the National Assembly. The sum of N13.5 million is paid to each senator while a member of the House of Representatives gets a little above half of this. The balance is paid out to legislative aides. In anger last week, legislative aides rose in protest against the non-payment of their salaries and allowances. Several sources yesterday confirmed the resort to bank overdrafts to pay salaries of “strictly National Assembly staff,” but the Director of Information to the National Assembly, Mr. Ishaku Adamu Dibal, said he was not aware of the development that had happened at least twice in the past.
