We Will Trash Nigeria On Sunday - Idrissa Traore

Sequel to their 2 – 0 loss to the home based Super Eagles at the Adokiye Amasiemaka stadium in Port Harcourt in the first-leg of the final round of the 2016 Africa Nations championship (CHAN), the coach of Les Etalons has boasted that the Eagles will ‘see hell’ come Sunday Ocober 25.
Speaking exclusively to Naij.com, the obviously embattled coach expressed bitterness that his team lost concentration which eventually cost them the first leg.
“We played very well, and as you saw it, the Nigerians were not tactically better than us. It wont take us 30mins in Ouagadougou to reply the two-goal-deficit. I am sure we will eventually qualify.”
In a counter approach, Sunday Oliseh’s direct assistant, Jean Francois Losciuto, described the comment as disrespectful.
“It is not only sad he could say that, it is also disrespectful. We are going all out to play them in their backyard and we shall be victorious,” he said.

Nigeria travel to Ouagadougou with a two-goal-advantage. The winner of the encounter by aggregate automatically progresses for the tournament proper to be hosted in Rwanda in January 2

National Assembly broke, borrows to pay workers

Image
Cash-strapped National Assembly has resorted to bank facilities to pay its staff their monthly salaries and allowances. But the facilities do not include the controversial running cost paid to lawmakers, as well as the salaries and allowances for their aides. About N4.5 billion is spent on the running cost of lawmakers in the two houses of the National Assembly. The sum of N13.5 million is paid to each senator while a member of the House of Representatives gets a little above half of this. The balance is paid out to legislative aides. In anger last week, legislative aides rose in protest against the non-payment of their salaries and allowances. Several sources yesterday confirmed the resort to bank overdrafts to pay salaries of “strictly National Assembly staff,” but the Director of Information to the National Assembly, Mr. Ishaku Adamu Dibal, said he was not aware of the development that had happened at least twice in the past. It was gathered that August and September...
