This Is Why Chloë Grace Moretz Called Out the Miss Universe Pageant



While our jaws were dropping over the final minutes of the Miss Universe pageant, Chloe Grace Moretz had been sounding off about the show long before it almost broke Twitter Sunday night.

The Equalizer star went on a major rant while she was watching the show, calling out the pageant for "sexualizing young women." She began, "Miss universe is still judging women walking around in bathing suits. If it's based on confidence, why r we zooming in on their bodies?.."

"It's a new time.. I think it's time we cut the swimsuit section from miss Universe ..," she continued. "And on a side note.. They just asked these young women "Who's more boy crazy?"

And that was just the beginning...After Chloe got several thousand retweets for her sentiments, she started commenting on who she thought should win, ironically writing that she really wished Miss Philippines would've won after Miss Colombia was announced as the winner.Then, Steve Harvey walked back onto the stage and revealed that Miss Philippines didactually win Miss Universe...and Chloe had the same reaction as all of us.
Chaos happened, Chloë. Total chaos.

Cash-strapped National Assembly has resorted to bank facilities to pay its staff their monthly salaries and allowances.But the facilities do not include the controversial running cost paid to lawmakers, as well as the salaries and allowances for their aides. About N4.5 billion is spent on the running cost of lawmakers in the two houses of the National Assembly. The sum of N13.5 million is paid to each senator while a member of the House of Representatives gets a little above half of this. The balance is paid out to legislative aides. In anger last week, legislative aides rose in protest against the non-payment of their salaries and allowances.
