CHAN 2016: Oliseh Wary Of Tunisia Threat
Super Eagles coach has warned that Nigeria’s group C opponents at the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN 2016) Tunisia could pose problems for the team.
Oliseh argued that the strength of the Tunisian league suggests the Super Eagles could face problems against their opponents.

Nigeria open her CHAN 2016 campaign against Niger but the coach looks to have set sights against Tunisia who are one of the favorites to win the tournament.
Oliseh told Supersport Blitz: “Tunisia have won it because their league is a solid one, it’s no secret. They can afford to have even home-based players play in the first national team.
“We built our local league, it had a promising one in the season that just went by. It is going to be a very competitive tournament for Nigeria.”
Oliseh also said the team was ready to compete.
“We’ve had some knocks, but I think everybody is ready,” he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung and president of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick have urged the home-based Super Eagles to win the CHAN 2016 trophy in Rwanda.

Dalung told NAN: “We expect them to maintain the tempo of the victory that the players have set; I will be in Rwanda myself to be in solidarity with them and to encourage them.
“So, what I will say will be better said to them directly when I get to Rwanda. But sending it in advance will be equivalent to inviting your enemy to inspect your armoury before you go to war the following day.”
Pinnick is taking nothing for granted saying he expects the team to be successful in Rwanda.

He said: “I expect them to continue the success run; I spoke to Oliseh this morning; we talk every day. I asked him if there were technical challenges and he said no that the most important thing in the field, which you can quote me, is that the boys are very enthusiastic.
“The boys have seen the run of very successful events in the past and now they are ready to go and glow.”
In the same vein, President of the Nigeria Supporters Club (NSC) Dr. Lafiu Ladipo says the Super Eagles are going to Rwanda to win the fourth edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2016).
Nigeria has been drawn in Group C alongside Tunisia, Niger and Guinea and will play their opening game on January 18 against Niger.
The home based Eagles emerged 3rd at the 2014 edition where they defeated Zimbabwe 1 – 0 in the third place match after losing on penalties to Ghana in the Semi-finals.
